ABOUT
Thank you for your interest in my psychotherapy practice. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over ten years of experience working with adolescents and adults. I received my undergraduate degree in Child Development from Tufts University and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. I was a postgraduate fellow at Yale Child Study Center's Childhood Trauma Center and later completed an APA-accredited clinical internship at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services working with undergraduate and graduate students. My post-doctoral experience included working in an adolescent/young adult medical stabilization unit for eating disorders as well as in private practice with adolescents and adults. I provide evidenced-based therapy for adolescents and adults. My background includes a generalist training in a wide range of mental health issues and training in evidenced-based treatment for Eating Disorders, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

TREATMENT APPROACH
I work with patients in an active and collaborative manner and believe that a genuine and trusting therapeutic relationship provides the opportunity for exploration and change. My therapeutic style is grounded in respect, authenticity, empathy, and warmth. I believe effective therapy can improve symptoms and quality of life, create hope, increase awareness and insight, and lead to positive change. I use an integrative treatment approach, drawing upon cognitive-behavioral (CBT), psychodynamic, and strength-based therapies to determine what will be most helpful for each client. My background in positive youth development deeply informs the way I approach each patient's unique experiences and needs.
HELPFUL INFORMATION
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I CONTACT YOU?
After you reach out, we will set up a time to speak briefly by phone to answer your questions, discuss your concerns, and determine whether I am a good fit for your needs. I am currently seeing patients via telehealth.
The next step will be to schedule an initial consultation appointment to better understand your concerns, gather a thorough history, and identify treatment goals. If you agree that I am a good fit, we will develop a treatment plan together.
INSURANCE
While I do not accept insurance, I can create monthly superbills for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. You can find out from your insurance company whether they reimburse for "out of network" providers.
